Optimising Stock Delivery Accuracy for Tesco's Just-in-Time Retail Logistics

Conducted statistical analysis to improve stock picking accuracy in Tesco’s distribution centre, enhancing delivery precision and operational efficiency.

In my role as an Auditor for Tesco through RAS, I aimed to optimise stock delivery accuracy within Tesco’s Just-in-Time logistics framework. The project involved monitoring picker accuracy, investigating error sources, and collaborating with management to enhance performance.

By employing statistical analysis techniques like random sampling and using wrist-mounted devices to capture stock data, I provided real-time updates on stock accuracy and detected anomalies. The project led to improved staff performance, a data-driven management system, and seamless operations, thereby reducing the inbound carbon footprint and enhancing delivery accuracy.
